Sizing Tips for Dog Beds

Dogs sleep in three categories: Curlers, Loungers, and Sprawlers. Use this guide as a reference for bed sizing tips.

Curlers : Curlers snuggle up in their beds and like to feel enclosed and secure. To size a Curler, measure the longest diameter of your pet while they are sleeping or resting. Typically this will be from his outer shoulder to rump. Add 6 inches.

Loungers : Loungers stay fairly compact but enjoy extra support for their head. To size a Lounger, measure the longest distance from the tip of the nose to the rump while the dog is lounging. Add 5 inches.

Sprawlers : Sprawlers are unpredictable in their sleeping patterns or like to use lots of space when they rest. When the dog is sprawled in his favorite resting position, measure the longest distance, often from nose to rump or nose to back knee. Add 6 inches.
